The Nineteenth Hole > The Nineteenth Hole > The Main Room

My friend Sarah and I are going to our very first Vince Gill concert together and we got pit tickets!!!!! Now all we have to do is join the fan club so we can meet Vince!!! biggrin.gif
Becky
Oh...you are in for a treat, Briana!!! Get ready for the best show you've ever seen!!! Vince doesn't do fancy pyro-technic stuff, nor does he jump around on stage like a crazy person, but if you want to hear the best music you've ever heard live, a Vince concert is where you should go!!! I remember my first time to see Vince several years ago!!! It was pure magic!!! And involved Krispy Kreme donuts too...how much better could it be??? LOL!!!

Hope you will be back to tell us how much fun you had at the concert!!! I can't wait for the reviews to start rolling in!!!
JSMiracleChild
Oh I will let you know. biggrin.gif

Bri, that's wonderful. Believe me, you will not be sorry. Vince is fantastic live. You will be entranced by 3 hours of live music - Vince's way. Which concert are you going to?

My first Vince Gill Show was 1983 @ the Palamino in North Hollywood,Ca. I have probably seen 100 since then.
Mary Anne
Well, it may not be in the top 40 on the two "major" charts ( which are actually now owned by the same company) but it is at #37 on the All About Country chart and at #40 on the All Acess Mediabase chart.

Oh, you will love seeing him!! I have seen him 4 times so far & he never ceases to amaze me with his voice or his humor, not to mention just how humble he is even after all these years. Enjoy yourself! biggrin.gif

Yeppers,Vince has it all. IMO hardly anyone rivals him in his instrumentals.
When that guitar starts you know without a doubt who is doing the pickin' .

I'm freaking out right now! Tickets for Seattle go on sale tomorrow. I need some good ticket karma! I've seen Vince in concert prolly 25 times all over the country but it's been such a long time since I've seen him play now. The last time was in Seattle a few years back. It was at the Seattle Paramount, but it was weird. It was a local celebrity auction. There were Seattle Mariners and the like bidding on things to benefit Children's Hospital. Everyone was in ballgowns and tuxes. Well except for about 100 fans that sat in the balcony and watched this crazy auction until the main entertainment hit the stage. Vince played and I was happy. I miss the guy. My first concert was at the Puyallup Fair. I think it was 1993 or 1994. I keep all my ticket stubbs so I'd have to check to make sure, but that show sold me forever. I love rock, country, jazz, blues, soul and I got it all at that show. If I were desribe my main musical tastes, it would have to be straight ahead rock-n-roll. (I'm listening to the Black Keys right now for gosh sakes.) I really admire great guitar playing and Vince had me so completely impressed. I've been a die hard fan ever since that first show. Gotta love the guy and all he stands for. Sorry for the long rambling post, but I'm just excited for tomorrow. Wish me L-U-C-K!

I haven't seen him in concert in years! I saw him last year at the OKC bombing memorial concert they had in OKC but it wasn't much of a 'concert' since it was for a memorial. He only sang 2 songs so I was disappointed he didn't sing more but it was still good to see him again & hear his voice! I saw him 3 times before that but all the concerts were years ago. I would love to see him again!

Anyway, enough of my rambling now, haha. Good luck with getting your tickets!!! biggrin.gif
