My son'in-law Brad is serving in Afghanistan right now and we just heard from him this am that his truck was hit on the last mission and they lost 2 men and 1 was seriously injured. Although Brad is safe for now I am asking that you please pray for his safe return to his family. Thank you all in advance. This is such a hard time for all the families of everyone serving our country and please keep them in your prayers as well.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. Debbie it is a blessing that he is ok. Tomorrow is the 2nd time in about 3 weeks he will have to attend services for someone from his unit. Then he is out on another mission on Monday. Asking for continued prayer from my buddies here at VGFC. This is so heartwrenching.

The Troops always have my prayers and you are so right about it being very hard on the families. My son served two tours in Iraq a few years ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to endure as a parent. There is nothing worse than knowing your son or daughter is in danger every minute of every day, so please, let's all say some prayers for these guys. I could be back in that boat again because my son still has another 6 years to go before he can retire. hopefully he won't have to go back.

It is really terrible in Afghanistan right now and I fear for Brad more now than when he was in Iraq 2 years ago. It has been so horrible for his unit and he misses his family so much. Thank you again for your support and prayers.
