I was so shocked about Tim's death . sad.gif A favorite of mine he was very good at what he did . I'm sure he'll be replaced on Meet The Press but it's going to take a pretty special person to fill those shoes . Condolences to his family .

I know what you mean Anna. He was great at his job, and so young. I was also very surprised to hear the news of his death. Prayers go out to his family.

I was so shocked and sad when I heard this news yesterday. It was like losing a friend. I watched Tim on the Today show, Meet the Press, and his election coverage. I had just said to Rick in the last month or so Tim Russert should run for President, I would vote for him!! I loved the way Tim would interview and not let the person he was interviewing get away without really answering the questions. He never forgot his hometown in Buffalo which is about an hour from where I live, which I always thought was so nice he remembered those roots and he of course loved the Buffalo Bills ( I am a huge Bills fan as well).. He said one time he would continue to host Meet the Press until the Buffalo Bills won a superbowl, so he would be there a long time...LOL. I think the thing I remember hearing him say one time, and I think he wrote this to his son Luke in one of the books he wrote and it was something to this effect....To never forget that you aren't entitled to anything....and I believe that Tim Russert lived his life that way that no matter how famous, or who he knew he was never entitled to anything. Tim was a true journalist and I don't think we will see another one like him for a long, long time
May Tim rest in peace and may God comfort his wife, son, father, his family, colleagues and his fans.

I watched Meet The Press this morning. This guy was not only the best at what he did but he was a fantastic person. I was in tears watching . It's really something to see Tom Brokaw tear up . I learned a lot about him I did not know. It really validates the whole thing when you find out what a good person he was.
