Last Monday (6-23-08) my 31yr old brother had a massive heart attack. He sustained brain damage from lack of oxygen to the brain when he collapsed. We took him off the breathing machine Tuesday(7-1-08) at 10:00pm when the doctor told us that after being removed from all meds there was no response or brain activity. He passed away last night at 8:30. Me, mom, dad & his wife were in the room when he took his last breath. He's not suffering anymore and can rest in peace. The timing of the next thing is what got me the most. When we got in the car to leave the first song to play on the radio was Vince singing Go Rest High. I lost it. My brother is going to heaven & Vince was singing his way there. Thanks Vince for that song. I can understand why he gets so emotional every time he sings it now.

OH NO - Kacee, that is such a horrible thing to happen to your family. I am so sorry to hear this. I hope during your tears, when hearing Vince sing, you did receive some comfort. GOD BLESS YOU and your family.

Oh, Kacee, that is just horrible about your brother. I am so sorry for your family's loss. I can't imagine the sorrow you all must be feeling. I'll keep you all in my prayers. I do hope that Vince brought you some comfort, and you know that it was your brother's way of saying he's all right now, and he just wanted you to know that through the song.
