Yep - here in Northern California, station KALF in Chico is playing The Reason Why. I can't even describe how excited I was when I caught the tail end of it on Thursday night just before climbing into bed... then I heard it on Friday on the way home from work, then today (Sat. 9/2) I've heard it twice. YIPPEE!!!! BOY it sounds great to hear new music from Vince on the radio!! I absolutely love the song.

Still waiting for our station here in Redding to play it, but they are always VERY conservative and always seem to wait 'til a song is at least in the top 25 before playing it. They drive me crazy.

But the new song does seem to be catching on at more and more radio stations...

I am so green out here. All you guys are hearing this song on radio and I have sent so many e-mails and made so many calls. I even got and e-mail from one of the DJ"S who is a great fan of Vince's and he said he had played it several times this week. I leave that station on all the time (for me and my kitty while I am at work) and I have only heard it played once and that was the day Vince called the station. YIKES ..............What is the problem in Az. ???????

You're not the only one, Anna...I've been emailing...have to admit, I've given up on calling the request line...I did ask the PD's in some emails why they never answered their request lines...I've been listening to XM Radio Highway 16...it's still a thrill to hear them play the new single...and Bruce and I have been emailing to thank them every time we hear it played...and to request it...

Joan, they played the new single on the Traffic Report hour yesterday...yeah!!! Maybe all our requesting is working somewhere!!!

Becky, keep up the requests. It actually moved up 5 slots from last week. It was at 40 last week, this week at 35. Let's move it up higher!

How did you find out where it had moved up from last week??? Guess I'm still trying to figure out all the new 'stuff' on xm radio!!!

You sort of have to pay attention to their phrases. When I first started listening to the program I had a hard time keeping track of the numbers then I realized the mile markers were the numbers. Last week was 40, and this past week it was 35. All together they play 50 songs so you definitely can't say they play the same songs over and over.

I have said many times and I know y'all probably get tired of reading it but you who are hearing The Reason Why are not living in Az. I know the one DJ said he had played it several times last week. Well, I have that station on all the time and I hear him from 5 A.M. until I leave for work at 8:30 and he goes off the air at 9 A.M. and I have yet to hear that song played with the exception of the day Vince called the station. I am also off work on Sunday,Monday and Thursday. Now I am not saying he didn't play it. Could have been in the shower etc. However, Still haven't heard it . And even if he did/didn't there are more than one DJ and I have called all hours and still haven't heard it . I'll just keep on keeping on. You would think that one of the DJ'S would play it sometime. This is how it has been with the last 3 cds of Vince for all 3 stations here.

Only place I'm hearing it is on xm radio, Anna...sad to say...I emailed both PD's around here end of last week, but I haven't heard back from either of them...if they would answer their request lines, I'd call in to request it...

Just saw the R&R chart for the week...
Vince/Reason Why moves up 2 to #50 after 6 weeks on the chart. (let's hope it continues its slow march to the top.....getting out of the 50's into the 40's would be a great start! ).

Side note - hottest guy - "mover" on the charts is Keith Urban,"Once in a Lifetime" up to #10 after only 3 weeks- talk about immediate saturation airplay all over the country....

I think I've lost the PD's response now (the only one that was responding to my emails)..I sent both country stations another email on Friday evening and never heard from either one...will give them a few more days and email again..could have been that it was approaching a holiday weekend...might be that they both intend to ignore me now...but I'm still trying!!! Guess I'll go back to xm radio for a while..at least I CAN hear the new single there!!!

Cool CJ . I really love Keith Urban but my loyalities are always with Vince. I want so bad for him to have a monstrous hit again and get on the air.

Heard "The Reason Why" on one of our stations again today. WooHoo!

I've requested The Reason Why on both country stations but no response!

FYI: I have tracked the Amazon sales rank of "These Days" daily (they keep a sales rank updated hourly on their site).

"These Days" hovered in the #2000 to #3000 in sales about three weeks ago and is now up to #400 to #500 range (seems pretty good for all pre-orders).

The best sales rank I have seen so far is # 416 (yesterday).
(Still over a month to go before release - so I only see it getting better and better).

Finally Amazon increased it's discount to 20% off (so the set can be had on this site for $23 (and change) ).

That's great news, Charlie!!! Thanks for keeping track of this and letting all of us know...Bruce placed a pre-order for the boxed set just over a week ago, I think. We'll be buying at least 1 more boxed set, but probably 2. I'd like to have 1 for each car as well as 1 to keep in the house!!!

XM radio Highway 16 continues to play the single...Bruce & I continue to request it and thank them for playing it...we've heard it about a dozen times in the past week or so...

Becky - if you preordered/purchased on Amazon at a higher price - you can go into "your account" on Amazon and cancel your pre-order. Once canceled you can go back in and re-order at the lower price....(I did, saved me $3).

Hi gang - Don and I are just back from a 7-day vacation - a road trip to Montana and Idaho in our travel trailer with our two Labs - we had a wonderful time made even MORE wonderful by hearing The Reason Why sooooo many times on XM Radio. Becky - I want to send a big THANK YOU for the heads up that station Highway 16 is playing the new single - we heard it so many times!! Heaven, I tell ya... just heaven...
By the way - heard it again on our local station here at home a couple of times too since arriving home. Yippee!!
