Full Version: Going To "Go Rest High On That Mountain"...

Hi all, I am new to these boards, and I am here to ask a favor from everyone...

I recently lost my only brother after a very long battle with Diabetes and heart disease. He fought such a hard and difficult battle for so long... that one of Vince's songs are so very fitting for his life's story (or at least the last six to eight years of it).

Anyway, I will be going to lay my brother's remains to rest very soon, and one of his favorite songs was "Go Rest High On That Mountain". That is also one of my favorite Vince Gill songs as well due to the same type of struggles endured by both of my parents as well in their later years. However it will now have another added meaning for me to go along with their memories as well. The favored song will definitely be played at his memorial in his honor.

My favor I would like to ask for is that as many prayers as are possible would be greatly appreciated... as he has left four children (now almost all young adults) behind who will now have an even rougher road ahead of them. Times for them were difficult before their father's passing, but now with him no longer there to try to guide them along in life... as stated, the road will indeed be much harder. I try to help them all I can, but as mentioned I think prayers would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Thank you so very much Nina... it will be, and is appreciated much more than you can possibly ever know.
