I just read that Steve Irwin, the Croc Hunter, was killed by a stingray while filming in the Great Barrier Reef. He was underwater, and the stingray's barb struck him in the chest and hit his heart. How sad! I really liked watching him--thought he was nuts, but very fun to watch! He's been on Jay Leno a million times, and always gave a good interview. He'll be missed!

Sad story. To bad. He was a very interesting guy but as you said a bubble of a plum

I also just read this news. How sad. He was such an entertainer, informative, and just a little crazy. I mean that in a good way. The article I read said that stingrays don't sting a lot unless they feel they are in danger. I guess he swam a little too close, and also that stingray attacks are rarely fatal. But, it did hit right in the heart. Very sad for the world, and for his family.

He truly will be missed...we watched him on tv all the time around here. The news made Maegan very sad yesterday. We're still in shock that something like this happened to him. Our sympathies to his family...

For those of you with Animal Planet, I believe they are airing a special about Steve today...it's supposed to air 5pm CST...guess that will be 6pm EST...not sure what time PST...
