They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery----Willie Nelson must be well loved!

Monday I saw Vince imitate Willie's guitar playing during "Whenever You Come Around"....he cracked me up....and today I just saw Travis Tritt not only sing Willie's song "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" but also sing it in a great imitation of Willie's voice. Between the two of them (Vince and Travis) I have just heard the total Willie without ever seeing him!

Two Willie imitations in less than a week? Something I just didn't anticipate....

Did you happen to listen to the second show of the Aug. 16 Opry on the radio? They had this Impressionist on...his name was Johnny Counterfeit...the first impressions he did when he came out was "what it would sound like if Vince & Johnny Cash did a duet together." Let me tell you, this guy was GOOD! When Vince heard that this guy was going to do an impression of him doing a duet with Johnny, Vince came out stood next to the announcer's podium and watched him. Everyone was so focused on the impressionist that I really doubt too many people saw Vince standing over there...but I had this feeling Vince would come out and watch when I heard the guy say what his first impression was going to be. I'll be posting my pics online somewhere...not sure if I'm just going to put them on my website or use Photobucket...but when I do, I'll let you guys know. I'm also planning on sending some in to the fan club.
