Okay, I'm going to try and give you a review of what I remember of each show.
The first was at Cape Cod with a revolving stage. Vince said he had been playing this venue for over 30 years and wished there was more like it. He joked about seeing a pretty girl and then not being able to find her cos the stage had moved. He wore a navy blue short sleeved shirt, white or cream pants, brown loafers, no socks. He's not skinny, but he certainly looks like he finally has his eating habits under control and is managing to keep off the weight he lost leading up to his 50th birthday. It was clear there were times when he was in pain, he would grimace when he thought no one was looking as he reached for a guitar, and he would shift about on the chair as though he was trying to sit with his weight on the left leg. Having said that, he was in really good spirits, really happy. We could take pictures as long as we didn't use a flash. Well I couldn't get a picture in focus without the flash and other flashes were going off so I used mine whenever I could. Funnily eneough I was the only in my section not to get caught and reprimanded, lol ! I don't remember all the songs he sang for this show, so I'll just talk about the ones I remember, not necessarily in the order he sang them. He started with an upbeat tempo, Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away. He sang Pretty Adriana after talking about how the song came about. He explained the concept of the show and then the requests started coming in so thick and fast that he joked about someone needing to keep a list. He introduced his band, saying that he'd known Pete Wasner around 30 years and that Billy Thomas was coming up to 20 years of touring with him, Mike Bubb, he'd known a long time, but this was the first time they'd toured together. Have to say all 3 guys were awesome ! He talked about writing Whenever You Come Around with Pete and that it really was about Amy's smile, that they made the rest up cos they didn't really know her. He talked about being asked to sing When Love Finds You at some other singer's wedding, how every was dressed to the nines and they had a big band, he gets up to sing and screws the words up. I thought he was close to getting emotional singing this, cos someone had asked where Amy was and Vince said she was home, the person must have expressed some dismay at hearing that cos Vince said that was about how he felt too. I really think this song is about Vince falling in love with Amy. He talked about writing Look At Us with Max D Barnes and how it really was a sad song until Max advised him otherwise. Joked it bought him a big fancy house he could no longer afford to live in. He came back alone after the intermission and talked about his dad. He sang It's Hard To Kiss The Lips and joked that Amy wasn't amused at first and how he realised it must be about his mother and she hates the song. He talked about his dad being strict with him, pretty much the same stuff he talked about for the These Days tour. However, he did tell one sweet story about the day he left home, about how it was the hardest thing he'd had to do and how his dad got on the CB radio when he pulled off the drive and how he wept for the next hundred miles when he could no longer hear his dad's voice. He almost broke down when he sang The Key. He introduced one new song, although it's not new to some of us, Buttermilk John and talked at length about John Hughey, he got pretty emotional when he sang that too. He told the George Jones story behind One Last Chance. Played a bluegrass version of Go Rest High and then said we were so quiet he could hear the crickets singing and how much he appreciated our reverence for his music. He ended with a blistering rendition of Liza Jane.

The M&G after.

Joyce and I had passes for that evening and were led to some dimly lit patio off what looked like a kitchen. Vince came out with a margarita in his hand and toasted us. This was really a fun experience cos no one was in any hurry, possibly cos they didn't have far to travel up the coast to the next venue. There was a youngish Down's Syndrome girl who was shy of Vince at first. He was such a sweetheart with her, really patient and gentle. Eventually she came around and then didn't want to leave him. He told her okay one last picture, put your arm round me and pretend you like me, lol ! Joyce and I stayed well back, trying to get as many pix as possible, but people kept getting in the way. For about half the time, Vince stood, even though there were chairs and someone asked him if it was hurting him to stand. At the time he was posing for a picture, he never broke the pose or changed his expression as he answered yes. There was one woman who was very loud and irritating and I'm maybe not being fair saying that, she could just have been very nervous or had a mental health problem. Any way she was babbling on and by this time Vince is sitting down and suddenly he's leaning as far away from her as he could without falling off his chair, then he said Amy might be a Christian, but she's a jealous woman. So I'm not quite sure what this woman did, but Vince remained polite and pleasant, there was no ugly scene or bad feeling. Pretty soon it was down to me and Joyce and I'm snapping like crazy trying to get as many pix of her and Vince as possible, but towards the end her camera was having a melt down on me, lol. Then came my turn, he asked me how I was and chuckled when I said I was all the better for seeing him. It's touching that he remembers who I am, but then I guess he doesn't get too many fans travelling from England. He asked if we'd enjoyed the concert and he said he'd run out of time. His face lit up when Joyce said we would be seeing the next 2 concerts and he asked if we had any requests, I said Hills of Caroline, Vince said, you got it. I also asked for Molly Brown, but he said they hadn't worked that one up. All too soon, he had signed everything I had taken, Joyce and I got one last picture together with him and Vince laughed when I joked that this was probably the only time I would be able to look down at him instead of having to look up. I wished him good luck with surgery, he said thank you and we left, I don't know about Joyce, but I was on cloud 9, you could have hit me with a truck and I wouldn't have felt it.

2nd show in Cohasset.

Again this had a revolving stage and again Vince commented on playing this venue for 30 years and how much he liked it. He was wearing blue jeans, white shirt and a dark jacket. He asked if anyone had been at the show the previous night, a cheer went up and he said he'd have to come up with some new jokes. He started the show the same as the previous night and sang some of the same songs, before taking requests. He said someone requested this song and proceeded to sing Hills Of Caroline, if he'd looked in my direction he would have seen a big beaming smile on my face. That was such a sweet moment for me. He talked about Corrina being at the age where she's fearless and uninhibited and how precious that time in her life is to him cos he knows it will change a couple of years down the line. Someone said that he never sang I Will Always Love You at his concerts, Vince said, no it's funny Dolly never sings any of mine at hers. A song later he sang a verse of the song. Someone kept asking for The Luckiest Guy In The World, eventually Vince said he was sorry but that just wasn't going to happen as he just couldn't remember the song. The woman shouted back that she would help him. Vince said look on your ticket.........does it say kareoke(?), that got a huge laugh, he apologised and said he would learn it for the next he played there if she would come back. He sang Ace Up Your Pretty Sleeve for someone's birthday, he'd met them earlier in the day and he commented that it was a favourite of Amy's. He came back from the intermission in shorts, tshirt and flip flops, saying that he'd got too hot. He told the story about waking his dad at 1.30 am to tell him he was singing with Dolly and his dad driving to Nashville to meet her. I can't think of anything else to tell you about this concert, other than it was awesome, like the first.

3rd show New Hampshire

This was in a casino, Vince wore black pants and shirt. He didn't talk as much during this show cos it was more of a rowdy audience, someone asked him to talk about his dad and he said maybe later, but he didn't, but he did banter a lot with the audience. He took some requests, but probably not as many as the previous 2 shows. He made jokes about REPORT ME I AM SPAM and that he'd be ringing the Guiness Book of Records after 4 hours, not the doctor. He said he was on a one man quest to get the erectile dsyfunction commmercials banned, but didn't think he'd have much success, he made similiar comments at the previous 2 shows too. Someone said something about a tattoo, he said he'd never gotten a tattoo cos he was scared to death of needles and he was getting nervous about his surgery on Tuesday, previous shows he had said that his dr. wouldn't allow him any more Advil so he was drinking margaritas to kill the pain. He was asked to sing his favourite Beatle song, he asked if this person had seen the Beatles, he had, so Vince said did you ask them to sing my songs, but sure enough he launched into a verse of Norwegian Wood and said that was easy, he could sing Beatle songs all night, lol ! Someone requested All Preyed up, he paused for a moment before launching into a blistering honky tonk version that was every bit as good as the original. He bought out a teenage boy he met at the Opry to sing Funny How Time Slips Away. He sang Hills Of Caroline again, I'd like to think cos he knew I was there, lol ! He truly was gratified when people requested older songs that were album cuts and never got airplay. When fireworks went off outside he joked he'd be glad when the REPORT ME I AM SPAM had worn off. As usual he ended with Liza Jane.

Somehow he managed to make all 3 shows different from each other. Here's a list of the songs that I remember him singing over the 3 nights in no particular order.
