I posted on the old board about going to be a grandma in September. That was back the last part of Jan. and here it is Sept. already.
He, yes it's a boy, is due the 21st of this month but I really seem to think he will be born before then. I'm am so excited. This is my first grandchild. It's hard to think though that my baby boy will be having his own baby boy.
I'll keep you all posted. I'm sure you all will be able to hear me screaming for joy from West Virginia when the little guy gets here.

He's here!!!!! Logan David was born this morning, 9-17 at 8:37 A.M. He weighed 8lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 inches long. He is just adorable and I love him so much already.
He is having some complications with breathing. He got some fluid in his lungs while being born and he had to have oxygen and a vaporizor most of the day so we didn't get to hold him. He is doing better and hopefully when we go tomorrow he will be able to be in the room with his mommy and then we can hold him. The dr. said this was fairly common and it usually cleared up within 24 to 48 hrs. so please keep him in your prayers. I will post again to let you know how he is doing.
We got to go into the unit where they had him. My son stayed with him most of the time I talked to him and would rub his leg and tell him Grandma was there and I loved him. He has dark hair like my son but I can see both mommy and daddy's looks in him. I just can't wait to get to rock him. I'm going to get off here for now. It's been a long but wonderful day. I write again soon.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Logan got to go to his mommy's room this morning about 4:00 a.m. My son is staying there too. Mitch (my son) called early this morning and said that Logan was off the oxygen but they still had a monitor on him but they could hold him now.
Of course Grandpa and I weren't long in heading to the hospital, lol. I don't believe I have ever felt the way I did when I held Logan. I know how I felt when I first held both of my children but there was just something different in holding Logan and it was absolutely beautiful.
He had his eyes opened the first time I held him and I sat there and rocked him and talked to him and just kept on looking and him and talking to him and to me it was like he was looking right at me and saying okay Grandma, whatever you say, lol. I didn't want to give him to David to hold but I did, lol.
They are hoping they will get to go home tomorrow. I just can't believe the change in Logan since yesterday but I woke up several times during the night and each time I thought of Logan and I prayed to God that he would take care of "my" baby and he did.
For all of you grandmas out there isn't it a wonderful feeling. My mom always told me that being a mom was wonderful and you loved your children but there was something special about being a grandmother and now I really truly know what she means.
Thanks again everyone for the concern. I appreciate it.
