This is bad news:

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO has dropped its carriage of Country
WSM-A/NASHVILLE, effective TODAY. SIRIUS channel 117, which had been
carrying WSM, is now carrying a simulcast of SIRIUS' Classic Country
THE ROADHOUSE; WSM's website is asking listeners to contact SIRIUS and
its Pres./Entertinment and Sports SCOTT GREENSTEIN to complain.

Unbelievable . I don't have either of the satellite radio so guess it wouldn't do me any good to write. Would it ?

I would love it if xm would pick them up...that would solve alot of our dilema since we just got xm, but would love to have Sirius too..but only because of WSM and the Opry...

I have both. I sent them an email and told them that the only reason I got Sirius was because of WSM and the Opry. I also told them if they didn't change their minds I would be cancelling my subscription. I believe they did this with another station, not sure which one, but they had to put it back on. Guess they got alot of negative feedback.

We'll see if they answer back, supposedly they respond in 24 hours. The only other time I emailed them they never responded back.

In the meantime I guess I won't be listening to the Opry too much unless Vince calls in at the last minute to appear. I'll have to listen to the Opry on the computer like the rest of you until they come to their senses.

I'm with you, Becky. If I was WSM I would try to get it on XM Radio. I'm sure they would feel more at home there. They have so many country stations there.

Bruce told me that he emailed XM and asked them to pick up WSM...if they did that, I would have everything I wanted from satellite radio..all in one!!!

Vince will be on the Opry again on 10/14...last I looked, only Vince and Steve Wariner were on the line-up, but that was a week or so ago..we bought tickets to go to that Opry...part of Maegan's birthday present..she'll turn 11yo on 10/5...ok, so we wanted to go back to the Opry and it's close to Maegan's b'day..LOL!!! Maegan really does love the Opry & Vince ,tho...raising that kid right!!!
