Back home in Denmark I think it's time for a review from me who went to the concert in Wausau with Lois (Oma) and her sister Linda.
Vince did an amazing show. He played almost 3 hours and we got a lot of songs I haven't heard him sing before. The audience could pick songs they liked to hear and of course I stood up and yelled "Hey Vince, I come all the way from Denmark and I wanna hear Never Knew Lonely".....
Vince said "Did you just called me twince?"....
"No, I said - I called you Vince".... and now the fun part... I pronounce his name different than you Americans do, so Vince and the audience had a blast .... and me too....
I got my song by the way, and he told that he actually wrote the song when he was in Europe many years ago, because he missed his daughter so much and that he remembered that we pronounce his name different.
After the show Lois and I went to the Meet & Greet. Vince looked soooo tired and you could see his knee still hurts. He sat down and signed books, hats, collages "You name it". He thanked me for coming all the way from Denmark to see him and he also signed a collage I had made of me and my friend Steve from Indiana who is a huge fan of Vince.
I will now snail mail it to Steve and he will be trilled.
Vince was nice - as usually... smiling and friendly. He's is such a wonderful guy and I am so happy I took this trip and saw him for the 3rd time. All times I have met him and it has ben sooooooo cool all 3 times.
The best part this time was, that I went with Lois. We have now ben friends for almost 5 years and this was our first concert together.
I bet Lois will respond or maybe make a new topic and she can tell you more. I got a wonderful vacation with her and her family and I miss them already. She has promised me than she and her husband will come to Denmark and visit me May 2010 for my 50 years Birthday. Whohooo
Lots of hugs to all of you
