Looks like an ice storm is blowing up in this very cold and wintry cloud covered gray day....so we did a very fun thing, and popped in our Crossroads CD and now are throwing back a few bottles of chardonay and waiting for the part where our son gets two cameos....'cause we had front row seats to the concert event of the year and the camera guys shot Jeff a few times....Jeff says people at school every so often come up to him and tell him that they are not sure, but they think they saw him on the Crossroads video...and he just smiles and says that yes, it is really him. I remember when a neighbor called us and said "Was that your son I just saw on PBS, TWICE!?!?" It sure paid off to get up at 4 am that day to get there early....

We just saw the Vince introduction. Man was that day so much fun! We got to relive a part of the concert a few weeks ago when we went to a Sonny Landreth concert....and now we get to relive it again in our living room.
Considering how crappy my life has been the last few months, this is a pretty nice diversion. So cheers to you all on this cold December day...can't wait to see Vince, and Jeff!

We just watched Vince play with Willie, and too funny....Jeff just got an voice mail from his friend..."Dude, I was watching Crossroads and Jeff (maybe Jeff Beck?) just finished playing, and I just saw your face!" What a coincidence! I guess we weren't the only ones who thought tonight was a good night to break out that DVD! Hope you all are breaking it out and enjoying it too!

Dawn, you are cracking me up. Thanks for the big smile! Somewhere we have that Crossroads dvd... I got it for Don for Christmas and it got buried. I am now inspired to find it and pop it in, more than ever!

Notice it was our then 16-year-old son who got the cameo shots, not us old folks! Cut me and my husband out, that's for sure. Even put a well placed box over my husbands head on the cover. My husband is so proud of that, he tells people "See that's where my head should be." He says they did that because he's almost bald and it was way too shiny. LOL.

It sure was a fun show, hope you find the DVD and thoroughly enjoy it. Vince had a great set, playing his own songs and then back up band for all the other country musicians. Watch Vince when he backs up Willie... I thought it was great he did a Willie guitar impersonation during his acoustic tour...and I think partially inspired from playing together at Crossroads.....
