I'm sure most of you remember this story...6-yr. old Adam Walsh was kidnapped from a Sears store in Hollywood, FL after his mom left him playing a video game while she was shopping. His decapitated head was found a couple weeks later floating in a river...Police never did find his body. Anyways, the Hollywood Police have finally closed the case saying that a drifter by the name of Ottis Toole, who died in prison 12-yrs ago while serving time for another crime, was responsible for the murder. I remember the case very well, considering I was about 12 at the time and we used to go shopping at that mall. The mall never really recovered from the kidnapping and it was later turned into a strip mall after the Sears store moved to the 'new' mall several miles west.

Thank God . At last the Walsh's may have some peace . They sure have used their personal tragedy to a lot of good work .

I saw that on the news, and I was so happy for the Walsh family to be able to put that part to rest. I can't imagine you would ever get over it, but John Walsh has done so much for missing children and adults since then. He is considered a hero by me. I really admire him.
