Last year, NBC aired a special celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Radio City Music Hall and their Christmas Spectacular. I had recorded it at the time onto DVD, but when my other DVD recorder 'died' it was one of the shows that I lost...and it was one of the few that I really did care if I lost it. Well, this year, Time Life released the show onto DVD and I just got finished watching it, and it reminded me of what a great family show it is. We got tickets to see it several years ago when the show came to Ft. Lauderdale...we figured it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it definately was. If the show comes to your area and you have a chance to go, don't pass it up...take your kids, grandkids, everyone. When I was watching the show on DVD they showed close-ups of the kids and they were mesmerized at times during the show, like when they were reading the story of Jesus' birth and the animals came walking across the stage with the cast...the kids were just in awe. I'd also suggest getting the DVD of the show, because its a great show to watch, even on DVD, but it's even better if you're there in person.

I taped it last year too, Val. I haven't put it on DVD yet, I'll probably do it this week some time. It really is a great show to see in person. One year when I lived on Long Island we went into NYC to see the show live. It was well worth the trip and the hassel to wait on line to get in.
