I picked up Bob Seger's new cd Face The Promise. If you are a Bob Seger fan or have never bought any of his cd's this is a cd you should definately pick up!! It is classic Seger. His rendition of Vince Gill's Real Mean Bottle is awesome. Seger's version is very upbeat and sounds great. There is also a song on the cd that is a duet with Patty Loveless called The Answer's In The Question. Another great song. I picked up this cd at Walmart for $9.72

II don't know Bob Seegar's music except for Old Time Rock and Roll .That is one of my favorite songs to dance to. Great price on the cd .I'd like to hear him with Patty and his version of Real Mean Bottle . Could be worth a trip to Walmart.

I have the CD too. I pretty much like everything on it. Thought it was Seger at his best. I really liked the way they did Vince's song too. Uptempo like a rocker would do it but not so much that you couldn't recognize the song.

My uncle bought the Seger CD and really likes it. He's thinks he's funny--he called me and left a message saying how great the cd is, and that he was reading through the credits and I probably already knew that the only song NOT written by Seger was the Vince song. He also went on to say that Vince sounds like chopped liver compared to Seger...only joking, of course. I called him back and told him he could think whatever he wants, but you won't hear Vince singing a Seger tune on his next project--or any time in the near future!!!
