Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, are the parents of a new son. The baby, whose name has not been announced, was born Friday morning (April 17) at a Nashville-area hospital. Paisley, 36, and his 37-year-old wife are the parents of a 2-year-old son, William Huckleberry Paisley, named for Huck Finn. Williams-Paisley most recent starred in the TV sitcom, According to Jim, and has appeared in several feature films, including Father of the Bride. Paisley is taking time off this spring to spend time with his family before launching his summer tour on June 5.

I had no idea there were expecting another baby. Thanks for the information Valerie. It will be interesting to see what name they chose.
It is nice they will be able to have some family time before Brad starts touring.

A couple weeks ago Brad missed the ACM Awards because Kim was due any minute..turns out it took almost two more weeks before she had the baby. They did have Brad on the show live via satellite from Nashville and Little Jimmy Dickens was there with him...at one point Brad said that Kim had had the baby and then the cameras panned over to Little Jimmy...that was funny.

They've named him Jasper Warren

When I hear the name Jasper, I can't help but wonder if Kim has read the "Twilight" series of books. Jasper is one of the vampires, and I think of him when I hear that. The Warren part of the name is for Brad's granddad, who gave him his first guitar and taught him how to play when he was just a little boy.

Some of my fourth grade students play guitar. One boy, Michael, brings in his guitar when someone has a birthday so he can play the song for them. It's adorable, and I wonder if he might grow up to be some guitar whiz like Brad or Vince. He's pretty good for only being 9!
