According to the TV schedule on GAC this Sat.The Opry wont be televised the show with Steve Martin instead they planned to put CMA Fest 2008 instead, so we wont be able to see Vince and Amy live.

Just read at Gactv that the Opry is taking the summer break wont return until the Fall other words we might have to listen live in the internet. i was looking forward too.

Yep that's the way it goes.I pay extra for GAC so I can see the Opry.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying that explanation. They have been taking a break since last Dec. That was the last new Opry they showed. Something is definitely going on between GAC and the Opry.

I hate that about the Opry tongiht i was looking forword to seeing Vince and Amy on T.v. part looks like GAC wouls show thw Opry tongiht with all the big stars on there. This will hurt the opry and GAC a lot. I hope they start showing new opry show really soon. I miss them a lot.

I've been wondering about the Opry shows. No new ones in a long time. Every time I see the upcoming show listing I can't wait to watch it, but then it ends up being a repeat show. What the heck. What a waste of money. I got the higher priced cable so that I could get GAC especially to see Vince and they never show it. I really wanted to see Steve Martin with Vince. Listening to it on the computer just isn't the same as watching it on TV.

There is RFD but unless you have satellite you can't see it. I have a bad feeling that the Opry will get moved over to RFD and most of us won't be able to see it. We'll see what happens in the Fall. I'm skeptical about what's going on with GAC and the Opry.

Been wondering the same thing about GAC.Just when I get things the way I want somebody goofs up the works.

come on Saturday and we get nothing, gac sure is messing around with the opry. can't remember when we saw Vince on there.

If Vince is going to be at the Opry this weekend, will he be on TV? Or am I just dreaming?! It really seems like a TV network could have the Opry live on a regular basis. I have to agree that when CMT used to have the interviews, etc., it was itneresting to watch. So what happened???? We like and get used to it, and it gets taken away.

No Vince won't be on the TV, the Opry isn't being televised until further notice.

CMT didn't want it anymore, not the right age group for them. GAC has been televising it up until recently. Now they say they are taking a break from the Opry until the Fall.
