I saw their performance tonight and unfortunately wasn't thrilled with the song at all. It was great to see Vince on the CMA's again though.

I agree that Brad and Carrie have done a good hosting job again this year - it is great to see.


And now I first have to say that Martina McBride and George Strait did a fantastic tribute to Barbara Mandrell tonight.
It would have been nice to see Vince get a similar experience when he was elected to the Hall of Fame 2 years ago.

The show was good tonight and had a mix of talent. It is nice to see all of the country music performers (CMA, right???) but I have to say I am not fond of the pairings the CMA seems to be putting together.

Maybe I'm just very partial to Vince, but I get SO, SO tired of him not receiving the recognition he deserves in the media! Our guy has won more Grammys than any other male country music singer, and in the CMT newsletter I rec'd by email before the awards, there were two big pictures of Kid Rock - last year, and this year's rehearsals. It was slightly mentioned that Vince was singing with Daughtry, but you had to really search for that! Am I missing something here???? Not that I have anything against Kid Rock necessarily, but come on! Give credit where credit is due! I know Vince is a huge part of the music scene, and he takes all this in stride, and probably doesn't give it a negative thought, but it just hurts my feelings for him!! Guess I'm too sensitive.

I too am partial to Vince.As a general rule I enjoy the country award shows.The thing I don't like is they base the votes on record sales and concert attendence. Having said that it's the way they have always decided who gets the awards.

I feel the same way. I would and did watch the entire show to see a few minutes of Vince. It would be really nice to see him get the recognition he deserves, but he loves what he does, and he seems like such a positive happy person, maybe he doesn't think about it like his fans (who adore him do).

I enjoyed seeing Vince and Cris Doughtry togther .I'm glad Brad won two awards and keith won one. But I wish Brad your Keith had won the bog one.

vGFS< I didn't get to see the CMA awards I was in the hosptial. I hope they rerun them. and i'm so glad our vince got to sing. they always push him out and i think he is the best,

I like what Larry Gatlin said when people speak of today's country music - "what country"?! I don't care for the loud hard rock so many play - even Carry Underwood is starting to do the way out stuff and I just like sweet good melody and not being shouted at.
