Our major radio station plays a good mix of old and new stuff. During lunch hour they do what they call "Lunch Country Classics" where they play everything from the 1950s to the 1980s. The rest of the time they'll play a lot of newer songs, but they also mix older songs in there...at any given time you could hear a Charley Pride song next to Rascal Flatts current hit, etc.

I wish radio stations would play VInce more often that they do.

I went through the calling and requesting.I got so frustrated I absolutely stopped listening to country radio . Now I only listen on my way to work and normally I switch stations .It's my understanding that the program director decides the play list but I have also heard some of the record companies pay some of the stations .I think Dick Clark had to testify many years ago that he did not accept money to play certain artist .They called it payola and it was illegal .I just do not get it ???????????
