Looks like the June 5th concert at Ravinia in the northern suburbs of Chicago has been dropped off of the schedule. Oh well, you gotta be a super-rich annual donor to that park to get good seats anyway....and that ain't me! Instead I still plan on going to the Crossroads concert June 25th, maybe we will get front row again ( I doubt it....does lightening ever strike twice like that?). At least for that concert you only have to be an enthusiastic fan to get good seats, does not matter if you are a rich donor to the arts! Enthusiastic fan I am!

Who is there for the Crossroads concert?

The Crossroads concert is June 25th at Toyota Park in Bridgeview IL, which is somewhere on the southwest side of Chicago. Eric Clapton is hosting it and he does it so he can have a great day watching all his favorite guitar players play. Those lucky enough to get invited to play or lucky enough to get tickets to get in get to partake in an awesome twelve-plus hours of some of the best music you could ever have the pleasure to listen to. This is the third time Eric has done this, and Vince has been invited each time. Who else is there? Buddy Guy, B. B. King, Albert Lee, The Allman Brothers Band, Bert Jansch, Los Lobos, Doyle Bramhall II, Earl Klugh, Gary Clark Jr., Hubert Sumlin, James Burton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Vaughn, Joao Gilberto, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Jonny Lang, Keb Mo, Pino Daniele, Robert Cray, Robert Randolph, Sheryl Crow, Sonny Landreth, Stefan Grossman, Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, and ZZ Top. I still gotta get tickets, and then the fun begins the morning of the show because the field is open seating. Like I said, we got front row last time. We will see what happens this time.

Vince is now listed on the ravinia schedule for June 5th! It's not listed on his tour schedule currently, but it is on Ravinia's website. Should be a fun day for me....testing for Pediatric Advance Life Support in the morning, Vince at night. a good way to celebrate!
