Dave Barnes is another name to add to rather long list of male pop singer/songwriters that doesn’t get the attention he deserves. The guy is a great songwriter who has a pop sound but manages to pull in rock, country, and gospel influences on a lot of his tracks. He’s slowly gaining more notoriety by opening for John Mayer, Taylor Swift, and OneRepublic on tour. While his last album (which featured Vince Gill and Amy Grant) was no blockbuster, it was his best-selling album to date. He just released his 4th album, What We Want What We Get.
