Hey all,

Haven't been on here much lately but do pop in every once in a while to check on everyone and see how things are going. So it is that time of year again that many of us start planning for the music festival in june.
So who all is going to be in Nashville for the festival? I wasn't sure that I would be going but decided to go for it. There will be 5 of us girls going this year and I cannot wait. Not sure that Vince will be having a party or will be participating but fingers are crossed and since it will be the 40th Anniversary of the festival..maybe just maybe Vince will be involved....hopefully.


Hope to see some of you while in town.....so who's going to be there?

I am going again. My sister and two nieces will be accompanying me this year. I hope it is not as hot this year as last. I nearly died of the heat!!! Am so looking forward to it, though. It is just so much fun.

I think they are starting to take the heat into consideration...they moved the softball game to saturday morning so it will be somewhat cooler. I would love to see the festival moved to april or may so that it wasn't so hot. Your right cathy...it was crazy hot last year...so many people needed medical aid. Ahh the things we do for the love of Country Music. Where are you staying this year? We are staying at the Hilton for the first time and really thrilled about that. Now if Vince would have a little get together it would be perfect..lol

I've stayed at The Hilton before. It is so nice!!!! I've also stayed at the Sheraton and loved that. But, for the past few years, and again this year, we stayed at Holiday Inn Express and really love it. It is peaceful and their breakfast is really, really good. They also have an afternoon snack in the lobby for when everyone is returning from downtown. They also have their own shuttle van to take you 2 mi. radius from their facility. We used that feature a lot!!! So, Holiday Inn Express it is for us.

I would absolutely LOVE to go, but as long as it's in the summer, I can't. I would be one who needed medical attention if I lived through it!! Just cannot take the heat! Hope all of you who are going have a great time! I always enjoy looking at your pictures, and reading your reports of all the happenings.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in the past and I really liked it as well. My friend has bad knees so didn't want to walk "the hill" at night this year after being downtown late...lol!
Your right...the breakfast is great...yummy cinnamin rolls..lol

For anyone interested the tickets for the softball game just went on sale and the game has changed to Saturday morning at 9am which will really help with the heat issues of past years. I ordered tickets and got 4th row today so lot's of great seats still available.

I would LOVE to go, but it may have to wait until next year because I'm getting very close to finishing my coding course and when I'm finished, I'll be taking the exam and then looking for a job. I know there's an exam in April and then one in June, I don't think I'll make the one in April, don't think I'll be finished the course before I'd need to register, so it'll probably be the one in June that I'll take, and I'm not sure of the date of that one.

I don't think I'll be going.Would love to though!Everyone have a great time.I'll be thinking of you!

First round of artists was announced yesterday for the festival....off to a great start for sure...can't wait to see who else is announced in coming weeks.
