Nashville, Tenn. – Grammy-award winning country superstar Vince Gill will headline the 13th annual Jammin’ to Beat the Blues concert to benefit the Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee (MHAMT). Vince Gill will take the stage on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the historic Ryman Auditorium.
Vince Gill broke out in the country music scene in 1990 and has since won 20 Grammy Awards and 18 Country Music Association honors. He has sold more than 26 million albums. Vince is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Since 1999, Jammin’ to Beat the Blues has raised awareness and funds for MHAMT’s efforts to reduce stigma surrounding mental illness and advocate for quality mental health services for all Middle Tennesseans. For 13 years, Jammin’ to Beat the Blues has increased community awareness about the serious impact of mental health disorders on people’s lives and fostered dialog and widespread understanding of mental illness.
