There's just something about Vince Gill that puts a smile on your face. Maybe it's the way he picks the guitar. Or perhaps it's his beautiful tenor voice. Then again, maybe it 's the way he makes the audience feel like they are a part of his family as he talks to them between songs. Whatever it is, rest assure whenever this Country Hall of Fame member opens his mouth, you're going to end up with a grin on your face.

It has been some five years since this native Oklahoma son released an album. Then again, when your last effort has 43 songs on it covering four discs, you have a good excuse for taking your time on your next project - which for Gill means a new release some time this Spring.

Maybe this reporter confused the Thackerville show with another in OK. Vince never mentioned the death of his brother and how it related to Go Rest High on the Mountain, and certainly Gary Muledeer was not there to warm up the audience. Although the show was exceptional, as always, Vince did very little talking and explained why, nor did he tell any funny stories. He did plug Rodney Crowell's book, and sang It's Hard to Kiss the Lips at Night. As Vince said, Winstar wanted the show-goers back in the casino gambling, and therefore very little talking. Regardless, it was a GREAT show, and I loved every moment of it!! smile.gif

People always take note of Vince, whether it's his singing, playing, or his personality. That was an awesome review. Thanks for sharing.
