Just saw a post on facebook that Amy's Mom is very ill, and not expected to live. This is the first time I've read anything at all about her illness. I wasn't able to listen to the Opry last night, but I understand Vince was rather quiet and said there is family at his house. Does anyone know any details?

HAven't heard anything about her either. Pray she will be o.k. whatever is wrong .

Amy posted on her website today that her Mom is in hospice care. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

(Some of you have emailed with questions about why Vince and Amy recently pulled out of the James Taylor concert at Carnegie Hall schedule for April 20th. I thought it best you hear directly from Amy….)
My mom is currently under hospice care and living at our home.
We believe she is in her final days.
A good death is made possible because of a life well lived.
I so appreciate this time of family togetherness honoring my amazing mother.

From Team Amy -- Thank you for all the kind notes and prayers. Amy's mom seems to have stabilized somewhat and is enjoying the love and attention of her immediate and extended family while remaining on hospice care. Every new day is a gift from God. Please continue to keep the Grant family in your prayers during this time.

So good to know that Amy's Mom has stablized some. Amy has the Women of Faith Conference in Las Vegas the end of next week. Hope she's able to make it. I'm sure those attending would love to hear her.

Such a sad time for Amy and her family. There is a beautiful posting on facebook of Amy singing to her Mom a song she wrote for her, along with her three sisters. Really beautiful! So hard to lose our loved ones, but a comfort when we know they have gone to be with the Lord.

Vince said on the Opry that Amy's Mom & Dad were about to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. So glad she remained with her husband and family for that occasion.

My thoughts and my prayers are with Amy and her family.It isn't easy to lose a member of your family.I know this well for I lost my Mom and Dad and my only sister.Time does heal a little.Let's all say a prayer for them. Crystal

I know this well too i lost a grandaughter about 4 yrs ago and lost my husband going on 9 yrs, yes time does heal things just a little bit better to deal with it. and Amys family , i''ll keep in my prayers.
