I think "Guitar Slinger" has a chance to finish in the Billboard Top 10! So it's important for everyone here to buy it when it first comes out. The number of sales it takes for a CD to chart high keeps getting smaller & smaller. So with great artists who have a very loyal follwing they tend to still buy records! So I'm sure an actual release date will come out soon. Let's see if we can make this happen.

"When Love Finds You" Hit #6 & "I Still Believe in You" was #10 in the Billboard Top 200. Let's see if we can beat those #'s!!!!!!

Remember to buy the DELUXE edition, with extra songs on it. Sure hope they decide on 15 tracks for the deluxe vesion!

Vince said at the fan club party that MCA was still deciding whether to do 10/13 (regular/deluxe) or 12/15. I think all of us who were there are hoping for 15 tracks on the deluxe version.

No problem for our family. We'll be buying the day it's released.......or doing a pre-order if it's offered. Probably both just in case the pre-order doesn't get here on the day it's in the stores! Will be somewhere when the store opens.

It should say on the cellophane wrapping that it's the Deluxe version. I know every Deluxe version of any cd I have bought always says Deluxe or Fan version/edition somewhere.

Well, if you find out exactly where to buy deluxe version and when be sure to let us all know. I didn't know there was such a thing!

A lot of artists are doing "Deluxe editions" of albums anymore. Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Reba, Martina...a lot of them have had them. They usually include extra songs, a bonus DVD, or both. I know in certain cases some record companies/artists have released special editions that you can only get at certain stores, like Target. Martina released her Timeless cd to Target with an extra cd, and the only place you could get that version was at Target. It's basically a marketing 'gimmick' to get hardcore fans to go out and spend more money on the cd, so you may pay $15 for the Deluxe edition for 13 songs compared to $10 for the 'regular' edition of 10 songs. A lot of times the Deluxe editions are limited releases, they'll make a certain amount of copies with the bonus songs on them, then once they're sold out you can't get that version anymore you can only get the 10 track version.

Now that there is a release date, I can't wait. I always buy two - one to play and one for my collection and hopefully have Vince sign it. If they are doing a deluxe version too, I guess I'll be buying 4 cd's this go round. It's seems so long ago that he release These Days.

Going to see him on Sept. 11th - hopefully he'll play some of the new stuff.
