What happens in Nashville when Mayor Karl Dean declares an entire week in your honor? On Thursday, Vince Gill found out.
During a party at Bridgestone Arena, Dean revealed that Oct. 10-17 was officially Vince Gill Week. He then announced that the 20-time Grammy winner would serve as the grand marshal for this year’s 59th annual Nashville Christmas Parade, set for 7 p.m. Dec. 2 in downtown Nashville. Gill also will light the city’s Christmas tree in the Public Square Plaza.
“His big heart is amazing, and his talent as a singer, songwriter and musician have made a remarkable mark on the city, and he does it with grace and humor and usually while wearing a Predators jersey,” Dean said.
