I can't put enough smiley faces to express the great fun I had last night. Vince never sounded or played better. Last night he played at a casino in Tacoma, WA (south of Seattle). I truly think he could pull better venues, like the Paramount Theatre in Seattle (which is where I saw him in '06).
Set List from Stage:
One More Last Chance
Never Alone
Trying to Get Over You
Take Your Memory (I think he switched this one with Some Things Never Get Old because I don't remember him playing Take Your Memory)
Real Mean Bottle
Pocket Full of Gold
High Lonesome Sound
Next Big Thing
I Still Believe in You
Adriana (with a gorgeous soulfull guitar solo in middle)
Guitar Slinger
Threaten me with Heaven
Lucky Diamond Hotel (loved it!!)
Look at Us
When I Call Your Name
Hard to Kiss ... (I know he skipped this but I don't remember what he played instead)
Slippin Away
Cowgirls
Go Rest High
Oklahoma Borderline (with another great guitar solo)
Encore:
Whenever You Come Around
Liza Jane
I'll save my remarks for the venue for another day. The playing and singing was perfect; there are no negative remarks to be made for the quality of the signing. Of course, I could sit there for hours and hours and not hear enough. He started a tad late, 5-7 minutes, and was over at 9. Probably the shortest Vince concert. He didn't do many of the stories that he typically does. I'm not sure he did any less songs, just did them without much break in between. As soon as it was over I couldn't wait until the next time.
Thank you to the fan club through which I had a meet and greet pass for after the show. He was very gracious and pleasant with everyone as they fiddle with their cameras. He signed a picture for me and said thanks for coming.
Then I lost $20 at the slots, so it was only a near perfect evening.
