Hello Everyone,

My name is Carolyn. I must admit that with my being 53, I grew up on some of the best rock and roll ever! My musical taste is essentially rock and blues. I am a late comer to Vince Gill. I have been aware of him for years but came to know him through looking at some YoUTube videos with he and Eric Clapton at the crossroads festival. I was so impressed with his guitar playing and his love of the blues that I started doing some research, and now I am a fan forever. I fee like a big fool for not having known how amazingly talented he is.

With the exceptions of rap and hip hop, I love all music, it is a strong part of my identity. Maturity reaps its rewards, as I have expanded my musical knowledge, I have come to form the opinion that music can be compared to religion in that we the genres have more in common than that which we chose to separate us.

I don't want to bore you to death on my first post, but hope we can chat on this and other subjects one day soon.

Forgive me, I am actually an intelligent woman, but finding it hard to navigate this site at times.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes, much appreciated. Trying not to make any faux pas my first week. It does not appear to me that anyone post YouTube links here. Can you clear this matter up for me? I did read the terms of use and a few other things, but it is still not clear to me.

I often find that my sharing YouTube videos communicates very effectively for me and I have learned so much by YouTube links that others have shared with me.

Found myself doing some (LOL) editing when I was writing about VG in my newbie intro. Wanted to say VG is one "helluva" guitar player and was questioning whether or not Amber was gonna make me go "poof" my first day. Keeping the faith that this is not considered inappropriate, esp. when referring to Vince's guitar playing.

Oops, better go for now, I hear thunder strikes in the background. Please tell me that someone is laughing!

I am pretty sure you can post Vince's songs from youtube .Seems we have done it in the past .
