I go way back to American Bandstand in Philly.Seems part of my childhood has gone .One thing I will never forget about him is when he was cleared of taking "payola"for playing certain records .We could use more like him today .Just sayin' R.I.P. Mr. fine upstanding .

I couldn't wait to get home from school and watch American Bandstand every day. I was so addicted to that show. Good, clean fun!! What enormous contributions he made to the music/entertainment world on tv.

Just hearing Dick Clark's name makes me smile!!! We'd run off the school bus - - fighting the whole way - - to see WHO could get to the TV the fastest to turn on OUR show!!!! Mamma would yell from the kitchen saying 'YOU GIRLS BETTER SETTLE DOWN', and Daddy saying, "FOR CRYING OUT LOUD", what kind of 'DANCE' is that????????

Dad forbid us to do the twist at first - - - - and I reminded him of that at a family wedding many, many years later when he and Mom were 'twisting' at the reception! LOL

Fun times surrounding MR. DICK CLARK and what the memories he gave us all!!!!!

Kids now days just don't have a clue what they missed out on.
