I think Vince Gill is one of our finest musicians anywhere. I noticed at his last concert in Michigan he seemed like he had alot on his mind. He didnt tell his stories, he songs were beautiful as usual, but he had a monitor/telepromptor, I was wondering if he was having some health trouble??? I also saw him on the View and he completely missed the que fo start singing....I felt bad for him, but he carried himself wonderful. I just hope he is alright......just concerned.

I haven't heard that he has been sick. But I hope he is well. Maybe he was haveing a off day. Will keep him & Amy in my prayers.

Martina McBride has uses a prompter, many do. Martina revealed that she has a fear of forgetting the words, though she usually does remember them, she wants the prompter as backup.

I think it's thoughtful to be concerned about the possibility that he may not be feeling well, but chances are that is is just being human.

I certainly have my days where I simply can't "get it together," think we all do.

Prompters do not worry me, extended absences of of releasing or performing music, this is what concerns me.

At the FC Party, Vince said that he began using a teleprompter during the These Days tour because there were just so many songs on that album that he couldn't remember ALL of them, so in order to change the show up and sing different songs at each show, he started using the teleprompter..and now he relies on it too much and when he doesn't have it he begins forgetting the words to his songs! He even forgot the words to a few of his songs at the FC Party! Someone asked him to sing The Radio and he started it, then all of a sudden he couldn't remember the rest of the words! A fan looked up the lyrics on her phone and brought them down to him so he was using her phone as his teleprompter! It was HILLARIOUS because she was down there, he had her phone, and he asked her to do an interpretive dance to the song! LOL!!!

I thought that one of the funniest memories of the FC event was Vince forgetting the words to some of his songs and taking out his IPhone, which stores his music and his putting his IPhone to the mike and deliberately over emoting the fact that he was lip syncing his music. He mocked himself and it was hilarious.

I am 100% accepting of Vince using a prompter. Vince has a vast music output spanning several decades, his lyrics are not as mindless as "shake it for me country girl."

Vince was very candid about revealing that he is as human as the rest of us at the FC party.

I just know that despite my extensive music knowledge, if that ol' show, Name That Tune came back, I would likely go totally blank at answering if I were asked questions, but would be able to answer questions that others were asked. With me, often if I can just recall one of two words, the remainder kicks in. The show Jeopardy? Dontcha' know that I would know the answer and forget to phrase it in the form of a question.

It's not as though Vince has a drug or alcohol problem and is one of those performers that can't recall anything anything without using one. LOL, don't get me started on the changes that are occurring in middle age, I lose my train of thought at the drop of a hat. You know that feeling, what did I open the fridge for? It's like that, but happens through out the day.

As much as I love Vince's music, I found myself googing on my phone to as ask him intended questions on my fave songs on 'These Days." They were FAVE songs and I could not recall the title, though I actually do know the titles!
