Hi everybody: For some reason none of us on team Vince have a complete list of Vince songs that have been in movies. Thought I'd check to see if any archivists are on top of this?
Thanks,
Alison

The song Vince sang in 8 Seconds was actually a cover of When Will I Be Loved. Songs of Vince's that have been used in TV and movies, like Anna said, one of his songs was used in Bones. He sang Rodney's "Loving You Makes Me a Better Man" for the For the Love of the Game soundtrack. Vince wrote and recording Once in A While for The Prince of Egypt Nashville soundtrack. Don't know if the song was actually used in the movie or not. And I remember hearing one of his songs on The Young and The Restless I think it was one time...think it was a Christmas song.
What I HAVE found so far for Vince's songs on TV: Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Vince Gill heard on tv in Boston Legal - Season 1 - Hired Guns
Take Your Memory With You by Vince Gill heard on tv in Bones - Season 6 - The Killer in the Crosshairs
Ophelia from the movie Maverick
I also seem to remember one of Vince's songs being used in the TV show 48 Hours.

I remember Vince saying at a concert a few years ago that his song "Ridin' The Rodeo" was in a new movie. I think he said the movie was Borat.

He also sang the Elvis' song 'That's All Right" on the soundtrack for honeymoon in Vegas.

Freida, I WISH I had that good of a memory..I actually went and looked the two TV songs up...now the movie songs I pretty much remembered. I just WISH I could remember what was used in 48 Hours....it may have been Ridin' the Rodeo, because I do know it was an earlier Vince song.

Came across an article that said that Vince's songs were used in the movies "The Ghosts of Mississippi" and "Broken Bridges." It also said that Vince may start writing movie scores.
