Yesterday I was listening to the Philly radio station online. A friend from another board had posted a link to it. Vince was on there live. They talked to him and played several songs from the new release. The interviewer congratulated him on his nomination for the CMA's on this song. He told that this was the third time the song had been recorded,. He said Nicolette Larson had done it, I think in the 90's and I don't remember the other person{I had never heard of them}, then he Say's "And I sang On all three of them, I guess third time is the Charm"

This was news to me. Some of you may have known this, but just in case you didn't I thought I would pass it along.

Wow, Karen...that is interesting! I wonder if it was when he first started out and was doing background vocals...that would be a fun scavenger hunt to try to track those down! Kay S. (Are you going to the Louisville show this coming Tuesday?)

I wish I could but even though I live in KY I am almost 5 hours from Louisville. So that is a little far for me at this time.

I was listening too. That was a great hour. I didn't know that either. Interesting to do a little research on this song. I really enjoyed that hour. It was cool that Vince even sang three songs acoustically in the studio.

Whoa, I am failing on my trivia. I had never heard that song before B&D did it. I'll have to do a bit of research. Well ,I really like that song and think Vince and Sheryl did a great job. I love that part where Vince sings his last part. To cool.

The new CMT Insider had a little piece about this song, had B & D, Sheryl & Vince on talking about it. Vince mentioned the two other times he sang on this song, even said maybe there were more versions that he didn't know about.
