I agree, Charlie..that's ridiculous to ask people to wait that long for the boxed set. I hope this doesn't hurt sales...

Agreed - I even called Amazon customer service to see if it was a typo - I thought maybe they meant to post "4-6 DAYS" not "4-6 WEEKS".

The lady said that was the correct estimate, that it was a very "high" demand item. She said they ran out, received more and those ran out. They have now ordered more....

I would hope they could get more in in less than 4-6 weeks!
It will definately affect sales on Amazon (imho).

Any idea who does have more in stock online right now, Charlie??? I don't need any more copies right now (have already bought 5 copies..LOL!!!), but maybe someone else out there is looking for it and they don't want to wait 4 to 6 weeks...I was hoping that was a typo as well...our copy from Amazon just came in today...they didn't ship it until 2 days after release date..I would have thought they would do better than that!!!

Becky - The Barnes & Noble site looks like they have some. It says "Usually Ships in 24 hours" - so I think they have it.

I like the "high damand item" bit- they are probably busy filling the cack orders that they have already- I don't necessarily think it is a "bad thing". Dying to know where it came in on the Billboard chart.

Am anxious to hear about first week sales as well...Charlie, you and Mary Anne post anything if/when you find it...I know you will...and thanks to both of you for keeping us informed on such things!!! It's lovely to hear things like 'they sold out last night at the concert'...!!!

I personally am considering not ordering from Amazon again. I had a pre-order for These Days and when I found out that I wouldn't get it until after it was in the stores,I canceled my order. Well, they sent it. That was o.k. but then I went in to put a review on their site and was told my account didn't exist. I sent them an e-mail and told them I had to set another account up because they wouldn't get me into the one I had and was told I would have to place another order before I could do a review. Then they sent me another e-mail stating that they found 6 accounts with my e-mail address and all had different passwords. Reason being each time I have ordered from them I had to set up a new account and a different password. I save my passwords in special folders for each site I order from. Now what is going on with Amazon ?

I use Amazon all the time and never have a problem - you do have a lot of other options though.
I like them for the low cost on their books and most CD's (plus shipping is free). But if I had your issues I might go elsewhere too.
