Hey guys...please read the pinned items at the top or pm and email questions to the people provided. (stephanie & I or fan club) That way we can avoid multiple posts about the same things and can avoid members breaking board policy. If you have questions about policy or any direct questions please let us know. We are happy to help!

This is a brand new site and we are still working out some of the kinks but we are off to a great start!

Thank you!

AmberJ

ps...please make sure your avatars are the proper size ASAP!

I have a question about the avatars..if, when you upload a picture to be used as an avatar and it resizes it to something like 55x90, is there any way to resize it without having to do it manually? Also some people link to pictures on other sites, and if they're too big, the controls on the board resize them automatically. If the avatars aren't supposed to be anymore than 64x64, would there be any way to change the settings on the board to make it so that they're not resized any larger than that?

When I try to get in the FAN site, it takes me to a screen that says it's going to a protected site but the next page I get is blank. I've tried REFRESH but I still can't get in.

Any other suggestions?
Mary Anne
You migh thave to hold down the ctrl/alt key while hitting refresh- or hit refresh a couple of times. It does that to me too- usually I can get it after hitting refresh just once.

For the fans page...

make sure your security settings are medium low
make sure your cookies are enabled.
If at all possible do not use aol to view the site...use internet explorer, firefox, or another browser to view.

Now as for the avatars. For remote avatars there is not autosizing. Avatars must be 64x64 and if you don't know how or can change the remote image please use one from the gallery provided. smile.gif

? Amber, what is the reason to not use AOL ?
AmberJ
For many reasons aol runs differently than other browsers. Many times simple problem can be fixed by using an alternate browser like internet explorer or firefox. Also one of aol's features (spam blocker) often will send email sent to a large group (even if you request it) to your spam file if it comes thru at all. So please keep in mind that enews and fan club notices are reminders...but you are responsible for logging in and checking the site for news and updates! When in doubt you can register for free email accounts thru hotmail or myway (among others) if you are not receiving emails from the site or webboard.

Also please keep your username and password information and be aware that when you send for your password it creates a NEW password and if you have not received it in 24 hours of your request it is likely it is in your spam or junk mail folders. smile.gif

When I try to get to 'FANS' I get a blank page. I also have never been given the extension code to extend my subscription the two months.

Thanks

I have AOL and have no problems getting the "e-news". The only problem I have is when I go tot he "fans' page, and enter my user name and password, I get a blanck page- all I do is click on refresh and the page comes up. I've tried useing IE and it doesn't really help- I can see the scrolling images when I make my screen smaller- but then it's to hard for me to read LOL.

I also have AOL, and I don't get e-mails now. I did get them fine before the new site went up, and maybe they aren't being sent out right now. Most of the time I don't have any problems with the board, but once in a while I will get an error screen for no apparent reason.
