Yesterday I had not the greatest day at work (that's another story),so I was really kind of bummed out and very tired.
Came home,did some house cleaning , took a bath and wasn't paying any attention to the radio. I came out into the kitchen and heard the DJ say,"Anna Leighton only has a few more minutes to call in,(they give you 12 minutes), I grabbed that phone and dialed that number so fast. I couldn't believe it . My head was pounding and I was shaking and laughing and crying . That DJ was so cool . They had said my credit card bill and I said ,no it's my house payment .He ask how much it was and I told him and he said ,"Well that's what you're going to get ".
I told him (Steve Goddard) that I would never give them a hard time again. He ask why I gave them a hard time and I told him I didn't always but I did have some issues. He ask what they were and I said ,I want to promote Vince Gill's music and I don't hear him as much as I would like to on country radio and I didn't discriminate ,I called all the stations. He told me he had a good friend that had played with Vince a few times and he had some really nice things to say about him. I told him Vince was the nicest person anyone could ever meet . I ask if he had heard his new project and he said not all of it but what he had heard he thought was great and he really thought Vince was just one of the most talented people in the history of music. Of course I totally agreed.
Anyway, I called everyone I knew . I have rarely won anything. Some scratch tickets from the lottery and years ago $150.00 ,2 times. I was so excited I just had to share this with you all. WOOHOO all this and 6 days until Vince's concert. Have a great day everyone, I am
