I went because a friend had an extra ticket and I'm glad I did! Was a great show and thank you vince for going all out and being such a class act. You have an amazing band, your steel player is as cool as they come all the voices in the band blended so well, your bass player is out the box and on the money and I wish a little of your drummer would rub off on my drummer, loved what he did with the brushes.
I play in a local band and I had as much fun checking out all the really great guitars that seemed to keep coming. My favorite was the tele but differant strats were very kewl as well, I have a strat with lace pickups as well And if I had a J-200 like that I would play it all night too(i think it was a j-200)
I really liked the first tele song, i think it was the 3rd song on the set list kinda of a chunka chunka thing in G, If I could get a little help on the possable name of this song I might see if my band wants to work it up.
Just thanks for bringing your music around our fair city and make the bluegrass set longer next time biggrin.gif you have a new fan!

Hey Rob,
Thanks for taking the time to post your nice review of the show. As you now know, seeing Vince "live" is an enlightening experience for a lot of male fans who often think a Vince show is mainly ballads. Vince is an excellent musician and surrounds himself with stellar band members. I'm sure someone will post a set list so we can know which songs you need to know the titles of. Hope this show might inspire you to buy a copy of Vince's new box set.

Thanks again,
Maggie

Glad you went to see Vince in AL and enjoyed all the talent on stage.
The 3rd song that Vince played in Milwaukee was "Oklahoma Borderline" in G but, not sure if that was the same order for the set you saw.

Always nice to hear of new Vince fans!

Hey Rob!!! Bruce & I were in Mobile on Thursday night...what a wonderful show!!! I've got a setlist...I'll post it tomorrow..but I think Mary Anne was right..I think the 3rd song it was Oklahoma Borderline...that is just a classic, and Vince is doing this song with an awesome long guitar solo !!!
Mary Anne
Becky,
It was TC, not me, who said what she thought the 3rd song was.
Becky
Sorry Mary Anne..and TC...guess everything is still a blurr...I've got a headache that won't go away and I've missed several hours of sleep in the last 3 nights...all worth it tho!!!
