I was just reading the interview and the last two paragraphs...and wasn't that the same night when Vince got shocked? It sure seems like it, because it seemed like everything that could go wrong went wrong.

Must have been that night . I was watching too Val. I didn't know what had happened. He almost went on his back. That was when he thanked them for saving him the money for his vasectomy

I was listening on the computer that night, since I couldn't watch it...but I'm sure it's a night that those of us listening/watching won't forget...and neither will Vince!

Great interview! I had heard the KISS story, a long time ago, but had forgotten it. It's amazing to me when I hear him talk, (okay...read about him talking) how humble he is. What a talent! Kay S.

I was watching the show on tv and my friend Alleyne was at the show. This was the night that the Cherry Bombs were getting back together and most of them were on the show with Vince. Alleyne said the electrical shock/feedback was so loud and scary that she was afraid Vince's eardrums blew out, but I think Vince is one of the few artists who doesn't need to wear those ear monitors, his pitch is almost always perfect. But he did get a huge shock off the microphone stand. He WAS pissed! And i don't blame him.

Don and I were watching that show when it happened and we about fell off the couch. It was unbelievable! Vince was blown back about 10 feet and the fact he kept his sense of humor about it was so typical of him.
Great interview - I loved every word. Thanks Maggie!

You are right about the earplugs Maggie. Remember in June he talked about not wearing them .He said it wasn't against those who do wear them but he felt that it kept him from pushing himself . I was watching the show that night too and right after that happened my TV went out. It was strange . Next time I saw Vince I told him about my TV and he ask if he had to buy me a new one. Of couse I told him yes.
