biggrin.gif Hello Everyone, I'm new here. I am really looking forward to the CMA Awards, and George Strait's induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. I just wish that Vince Gill was the host. I used to go to the CMA rehearsals, and Vince was always so... entertaining. He has cute legs too... he wore shorts a few times.

Vince.. do me a favor, host the CMAs next year, and this year.. well.. can I ask you a favor.. grin. rolleyes.gif Please kiss George on the cheek for me. tongue.gif I am a career long fan of his, the Linda on his mind so to speak. He knows me well. I am just so proud of him, and he has made such a difference in my life. His music got me through some rough times. Real Country Music has a way of doing that.

I wish I could hear more of you on the radio Vince. I have turned to my CDs, too much rock in "radio's Country" for me. Anyway.. hug and kiss George for me.. tell him Linda is so very proud of him. Then sign up to do the CMAs next year please, because I miss you.
Linda

Welcome to the board .We all miss him ,Linda. Maybe one day when he doesn't have anything else to do biggrin.gif he would do it again . He has always said that if they wanted him again he would do it but (not sure about this) not as much as he did in the past . George Strait is one of my all time favorites too. He is an great entertainer and has had such success. I can't think of anyone else who deserves it more (Hall of Fame ) ,than George..........unless it would be Vince .Even though there are many who deserve to be there. I am always happy when they honor the performers while they are still living. As I said there are so many and I guess they have certain criteria that has to be met .

Welcome to the board, Linda! I'm sure you have the latest issue of CW with George on the cover, and if you read the article about Vince, he says the reason he wanted to take a break from hosting was that "For the longest time, I was on the radio and hosting the CMA Awards, and I felt like a big part of it...And then, in the last few years, I didn't feel a part of it anymore. I just felt like this figurehead up there, making everyone laugh. So I said to myself, 'Quit this, and go be the musician you've always been.'"
