I just had to get this off my chest.

I'm watching Desparate Housewives like I watch every Sunday. During the show, they had two different commercials for the CMA's. The 1st one made it seem that the two actors from Desparate Housewives would be the stars of the CMA's. Typical of ABC. But it was the 2nd commercial that really got to me. They started listing the people who would be performing. Not surprising that they wouldn't mention that Vince would be singing one of his songs since they only had a short period of time and couldn't list everybody performing. But then they mentioned B & D with Sheryl Crow. No mention of Vince at all. That really ticked me off.

I guess this is what we can expect with ABC in the future years of them having the CMA's. I read the CMA went with ABC because of their younger audience. I just hope they know what they are doing because I don't like what I'm seeing right now. Hope the older performers aren't going to be ignored and totally replaced by the young performers.

I noticed that Vince wasn't mentioned too. Sure can't understand that. I think it's been known long enough that they could say his name . I am anixous to see the show though. I really do enjoy the awards shows. They are on time and since Vince will be there tonight it's most diffinitely a plus.

i was thinking the same thing. on the radio i've heard the list of performers and cheryl crow is listed first. first of all, not reeealy country and second of all...if i was a big creryl crow fan and tuned in to see her sing with b&d i'd be kinda upset. but you're right, this is what we can expect. i think the big country fans and fans of country stars like vince, alan, etc are not the ones they're trying to lure into watching.
