Full Version: Amazon - From #20 to # 12 - CMA Boost!
The Nineteenth Hole > The Nineteenth Hole > The Main Room

Well when I sat down to watch the CMA's Vince's CD set was at about # 20 on Amazon's overall sales. When I checked a bit later it was at #18, then #15 and now as I get ready to call it a night Vince is at #12 (Will it be higher by tomorrow? smile.gif ) I think so!

(Also, Only Keith Urban at #11 is 1 higher on the Chart - Vince is the highest country CD on the bestsellers list)

Let's hope ALL outlets see an increase in sales like this!

Fantastic news ,Charlie. I ordered another one from Amazon. Finally got my account straightened out but then I got an e-mail from them about not having it. I guess I'll just got to the store or wait until MCA gets more moving . Unbelievable that they wouldn't have the foresight to put more sets out . Shoulda known better.

I complain weekly to Amazon via email about "why does it take 3-6 weeks!" (in a nice way - saying "I really like their prices and customer service but why oh why will it take 3-6 weeks" etc....I never get a straight answer other than they are working to get more in). At this point IF it actually takes 6 weeks to ship and customers don't get it for 7 weeks - it MAY not arrive until AFTER Christmas (unacceptable!).

I did go to a local Borders and they had one left on a "new" shelf....I asked if they had ordered more and the guy looked at me funny like "Why not buy THAT one!" smile.gif My thought was they only have one left and here we are the day of the CMA's and going into holiday shopping season - they should have 10+ (spread out to Vince's section and the "new" section with inventory in the back - sadly stores do not hire me (or fellow Vince fans) to properly stock shelves! LOL smile.gif

Seems a lot of outlets just play "catch up" - ooops it's out so we better order more - ie: make the customer wait days if not weeks. sad.gif

Seems like a lot of stores are like that, and not only with CDs, but with other things as well. There has been more than one time when we have gone into Walmart and wanted something specific and they were out of it, even groceries! My grandmother buys Tonic Water, and it seems like every other week we go to the store they're out of it, so when they have it I'll usually pick one up for her. Another thing that some stores have trouble keeping in stock are the plain chocolate covered vanilla Dibs...we had a raincheck from the grocery store for them because they didn't have them when they were on sale, and I guess we had to wait about a month before they actually had some in when we were able to get there!

fyi all: Up to # 10 on Amazon (first time back in top ten in a long while)....and still says "3-6 weeks to ship" - I cannot express how much that irks me!

Continues to hover around #10 or # 11 on Amazon and B&N....which is good.

Also the single (after dipping a bit) is again showing positive spins on media base (and holding at #30)...

You may be right Mary Anne - there is life yet in this single - it amazes me it's been out for so long and continues to slowly build....but it needs more stations to add it and heavier rotation if it is to break into the 20's with any authority! smile.gif

I can only hope after all the reviews, all the publicity, all the kudos, all the sales of the CD etc....that radio will finally say: "Hey, let's play this one. It's really good!" smile.gif

Maybe the country stations will add the single as he comes to their town for concerts like they have been doing here in Seattle - like they are responsible for getting such a good concert!

Still holding at #10 on Amazon (for almost a week now).

However it now says "Ships in 7 to 13 days" (instead of "4 to 8 days" - it is almost comical (not quite) that they just cannot seem to keep enough in stock and cannot get to "Ships in 24 hours" like 99% of all other Cds!

Vince in Portland tonight! smile.gif

Well, at least 7-13 days is better than when it was saying 6-8 weeks!

Very true! biggrin.gif

smile.gif Actually here is the latest from Amazon:

"Availability: Usually ships within 7 to 13 days. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.
Availability message: This title should be available to ship within 24 hours by November 29. "

So it looks like starting November 29th they expect to have all they need in stock....
