Cathy, I can't think of a better present for you and your family.
I honestly do not want anything..... except for the real meaning of Christmas to take priority over all the commercialism that began back in September. Just call me Scrooge.

I agree with this. I love Christmas and what it stands for but I really hate all the trappings that come this time of year. You are not a Scrooge, you just know what Christmas should mean.

I love the spirit of the Christmas season and most diffinitely believe if the world practiced it all year Derek and all the others would have never had to go to any war .

I LOVE Christmas. This year is just so special! TWO family members have been spared, and I know it was through the power of prayer! Not only have I been worried about Derek, but also my 23-year-old niece has been going through biopsies -------- which have shown up BENIGN! THANK GOD!
I've been making turkey and pumpkin shaped cookies for my g-babies classrooms for Thanksgiving, and then I couldn't stop at that. I began my Christmas cookies!!! I'm making - baking and freezing the cookies until it gets closer to Christmas, and then I'm going to decorate them (I LOVE DOING THIS) and will make Christmas cookie bouquets and baskets for friends and neighbors. 'Tis the Season, ya'll! I LOVE BEING RETIRED!!!! I can finally find time to do the things I've always wanted to get done!

Bestma, Cathy, I love Christmas too and what it stands for and i agree with Anna, but most of all Cathy i am happy foy you that Derek is home with his family. so we pray for all of our troops and gal's that are over thereyet and for the familys that has lost their loved ones I can really feel for them. as for my christmas, I just thank the Lord for my health & family and i have this great Vgfs.to write to.
