I usually start listening to Christmas cds on thanksgiving. I have Michael W Smith, Natalie Cole,Elvis and various other artists but what I listen to most of the time is my 2 Vince cds and 3 Amy cds. They fit nicely into the 5 disc changer too! lol

This year though I can't part w/ These Days, so the first 2 discs are from These days and the other 3 are Christmas cds of Vince and Amy.
Merry Christmas!

Last night I listened to Brad Paisley's new Chirstmas CD. It's a mix of Christmas Classics, like Winter Wonderland (the second time he sings "in the meadow we can build a snowman and pretend that he is Parson Brown, he changes Parson Brown to Jim Ed Brown and then adds that we can sing Pop A Top and something about the Church Bells Ringing...it's real cute), and original songs, like a song he wrote when he was 13...the intro of the song is him singing the first verse on a WV Jamboree song, the he comes in today, then ends it with both his adult voice and young teen voice. He also has a song on there called "Politically Correct Christmas"...he has Little Jimmy Dickens, Bill Anderson and George Jones join him on the song, and everytime they say 'Christmas" they bleep the "Christ" part, because you can't say "Christmas" anymore, you have to say "Holiday". Then they get to talking about singing "Little Drummer Boy" and that you can't sing that because it'll offend little people, can't sing "White Christmas"...have to change it to "Caucasion Holiday", etc.

I have listened to Tony Bennett's Christmas CD .I have worn out 2 cassette tapes so just ordered another copy of it. Very good. It's been around for a long time.
I'll be pulling some of the others out soon. Have Vince and Amy's ready to pop in the player.
You might say I am getting a bit of the spirit.

I have already started listening to Vince Gill, Alabama, John Berry, Billy Gilman, Clint Black, Christmas in Ireland, 20 Christmas Stars I, II, and III, Christmas Time, and plus a cute little cd that my dad found called "Santa and His Might Elves"....which has cute song titles like "Santa's Comin' in a Whirlybird" and "Percy, the Puny Poinsetta".
My family really gets into the Christmas spirit, as I guess you can tell.

This morning I am listening to Amy's , A Christmas To Remember .
AND what a ditz I am. Have to admit ,I have not listened to this record a lot. It's very quite here so imagine my delight when I heard that very familiar tenor harmonizing with Amy on ,When The Season Comes Round Again.

Anna,
Want to hear something funny! I did the same thing the other day! lol
"oh wow that sounds like vince in the background" some seconds passed and then it hit me"duh" . The title cut is really pretty and I just hadn't paid too much attention to it before, but it's my theme for this Christmas. A Christmas to Remember! My oldest son and his wife and baby girls are coming this year!!!
