There are so many other stories that go "unpublished" of things Vince does from his heart. LIke the time he stopped for a bite to eat at a Waffle House after the Opry. There were a group of "kids" probably college aged sitting at the table next to him pooling their moneyt o see wha tthey could order to "share". Vince called the waitress over and told her to put the kids' charges on his bill and to tell them to order what they wanted. Or the time he heard about a youngster who had no winter jacket- and he went out and bought the kid one.

Thanks for the stories. Vince is so wonderful. I, personally, don't think anyone is up to his standards. I wish more people had some of his kindness.

I always knew that Vince was special! This just confirms it. And thing is Vince would just do his best Gomer Pyle impression and shrug it off like all these acts of kindness aren't any big deal. Humble and big hearted that's Vince Gill!

Vince is truly a great person and we are so fortunate to "know" him - not many people are as generous with their time as he is. What a wonderful article! biggrin.gif

That's the sort of thing Elvis used to do.
