That must have been the write up for last year. Nothing like that happened yesterday at the City of Hope game. I was there in the hot sun, and well worth it. The score was 6 - 4. Vince pitched for the Opry team and Chris Cagle ptiched for the After Midnight Team. I will get more details and of the team roster and post later.

Yep, I think Vince's team won, but I really didn't pay attention to the score . Vince was in a fantastic mood, he was so funny, dancing around, paid Minnie Pearl a dollar for a kiss or two He appeared to really be enjoying himself and the crowd loved it!

Yes, Vince was in rare form!! He faked needing oxygen after running to first base, then hopped right up when another male player (can't remember who) offered to give him mouth to mouth. My favorite part was his little Opry square dancer jig he did while the rest of the team was out there. He was having fun! The Opry team did win...

I hope they televise the game on GAC like they have done in the past. I always love to watch that game. Everyone is having such a good time and of course Vince is also always doing something funny.

Were the GAC cameras there this year??? They were taping the game last year, but they never showed it...I overheard one of the camera guys saying that they were having trouble with the audio while recording..wonder if that is why they never aired it after last year's game...anyway, hope they will air this year's game!!!

I really didn't make a "note" to watch it last year since Vince wasn't there, lol. I have watched several games on GAC and there are always fun. It's almost as good as being there, at least cooler, I imagine..

Deb, you didn't miss it last year...they didn't ever air what they taped...the game was fun...but it was better the year before when Vince was there..

This years game was my favorite of the past 3 years. We had different seats, and there were pros and cons. Con, you had to shoot through the mesh (we sat behind homeplate, a little to one side by the dugouts) Pro, the interaction with the players was awesome Pro, didn't have to look through the official photographers who always managed to get in our way before!

Hey Pam, did you see any GAC folks out there taping the game??? I was wondering if you included GAC in the 'official photographers' statement that you made...I have emailed GAC in the past and asked if they planned to air the game, but if they were not even there this year, that answers my ? as whether they might air the game sometime later in the year...thanks!!!

Becky, I didn't notice who any of them were. Just that they were on the side of 1st base again, but not in my way this year.

I did see the cameras from where we were sitting and also saw Strome Warren taping a few clips for GAC. For example the one they played this week with Chris Cagle jumping up and down behind Keith Anderson (I think that is who it was), happened in front of where we were sitting. Only problem (if you can call it that since I didn't really want to be on camera) is that the cameraman was facing the field and not back toward the stands. They did interview one of the people sitting next to us, but don't know if the response was filled with enough energy to get it played on the show (if you know what I mean).

Have to make sure we catch GAC and CMT over the next few weeks to see what is shown.
