Saw "Cars" tonight with my two nieces, ages 6 and 10. I really enjoyed it, much better than "over the Hedge" which we saw a couple of weeks ago. As with all Pixnar films, there was the inside jokes aimed at adults and great animatation. Excellent family film- though adults will enjoy it even if they don't have kids along( in fact sitting behind us were three guys in the early to mid-twenties with no kids with them- they seemed to really enjoy the movie. The movie has a really sweet ending with an important message that comes across very clearly.

We went to the McDonald's drive thru yesterday for lunch, and while we were waiting, my 3 1/2 yr old neice kept saying she wanted a 'tar' (car)...I guess that McDonald's doesn't have the Cars toys yet, because we got 2 Happy Meals...one had the stuffed bear in it, the other had an ugly red basketball player in it.

Mary Anne thanks for the review....I was hoping this would be a better movie than "Over The Hedge" because I surely wasn't impressed with that movie....lol....

Mary Anne, thanks so much for the movie review. I'm taking my grandson tomorrow with his other grandmother and we were so glad he picked "Cars" instead of "Over the Hedge." He just got in from a week at Disneyworld this morning and was non-stop excitement so hope a day with us grandma's will not be a letdown *L*.

Mary Anne,
Glad you enjoyed "CARS". I am gonna wait until next weekend to see it.

I did go see "Over The Hedge" too. Thought it was good! rolleyes.gif

We saw "Cars" on Friday and thought it was really a cute and funny movie. Good lessons on how to treat others and the soundtrack was enjoyable too with some new & classic songs from: Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Hank Williams, Chuck Berry, Rascal Flatts, The Chords, James Taylor & Randy Newman. Fun for NASCAR fans to hear some of the drivers playing characters in this film.
Be sure and stay while the credits run to see some cute clips.
