Vince announced it at the concert tonight. He just found out today that the boxed set went platinum. You could tell he was so happy. Said he had to celebrate.

This is incredible news. I am just jumping over the roof top. I can't even explain how I feel. I am calling every radio station in the State to tell them . I have been so upset over radio not playing his last 3 records and now I guess Vinny did it up real big. Congradulations Vince. It's a great peice of work .

Great News!! A Big congrats to Vince! Our Radio Station here is not even playing it at all It makes me so mad all they play over and over are the same guys .Since KU wet to re-hab they are playing him to death lol Funny how Vince is the most talented Guy out there but they still won't play his new stuff but If you go to re-hab people can't get enough.I will never understand the things people admire today.Whatever happened to liking someone because of the talent and joy they give and the heart and soul that is real and not just media hype? well our guy has and will show them all..hugs mamabear

Knew it would go platinum! It's his best work yet! He stands head and shoulders above everyone else in the music industry for sure!

But I have to defend KU. I've loved his music from the first time I heard him. He's a great singer,songwriter and guitarist! I'm sorry he has a problem and am praying for his recovery. My bet is that the radio folks want to give him support at this hard time in his life. Remember at the CMA's when he won male vocalist that everyone in the audience gave him a standing O. And I am fully expecting his latest cd in my stocking come Christmas morning! lol

I wish they'd play Vince more on the radio as well. Before the 4disc set came out they played one of his songs each day. Just awful!
But in the lead up to his releasing the the single then set they started giving him more airplay. I hear hear the new song a couple times a day and now some Christmas songs. They also did a lunch hour special on the day of his Philly concert (sold out I couldn't go) with Vince live in the studio singing!!!!!!
Made my day!

But I'd have to say KU is my 2nd fav singer. Glad to hear of prayers for him. Merry Christmas!!! anna

WooooHooooo!!!! I just knew this would go platinum....the box set is phenominal. I was in Walmart the other day getting my Christmas card done and the lady had to open mine to be sure she gave me the right ones. She said those are VERY nice pictures of Vince Gill how did you get them. I told her I go to as many concerts as I can and that I have met him a few times. She said he is one of her favorite singers and she just loves his new song The Reason Why and that our local radio station has been playing it alot and the DJs are constantly talking about how great the box set is. I was suprised the radio station was promoting this, not that I am complaining as it is about time Vince gets some recognition. Anyways I told this lady that she absolutely had to get the box set and she said she will be definately be getting it.
