WHEW, I'm getting too old to stay up all night in Vegas, but I did it Thursday and Friday nights anyway! The shows were fantastic, two solid hours and the only thing he changed from the other tour dates was to cut one or two songs out of each segment from the album so he could fit the whole thing into the allotted time frame. Vince was in a great mood, especially Friday night after learning that the album had certified Platinum-he said he bought a bottle of wine at dinner to celebrate that cost more than his first album made.
Thursday night Vince came right out into the casino after the show and I was able to chat with him for a minute. I ran into the entire band later in the coffee shop and spoke with them and met Billy's new fiance, who is adorable. Everybody in the organization was pumped due to the Grammy nomination and the Platinum sales. I told Vince when I talked to him that he is 'back where he belongs' and he seemed to really appreciate that comment. It's obvious that he is thrilled with the attention and the success that the new album has generated.
I'm sure someone else will post a more detailed review of the shows, I was just totally into enjoying myself because he was in such a great mood and the sound (thanks to Hugh, the super sound tech) in the showroom was outstanding. I was sorry to have to miss Saturday night but I have to be home once in a while. I'm sure all of you who were there Saturday had a ball and you can tell us all about it.
Hopefully everyone who didn't get to go to Vegas will catch a show on the extended tour early next year and if we are lucky maybe Vince will book in town again next year during the rodeo and we can all plan to go back.

Kathy,I just got home about 30 minutes ago. Great concert ,again. Band was fantastic. Bekka Bramlett feels that music ,doesn't she. As for the set list it was like you said ,but Jenny did come out for the encore and sang ,Whenever You Come Around. She is very good. Vince is so proud of her. He did say she liked to gamble and he would have to tour 9 more weeks to pay her debt and Christmas was out the window.

.
Had a nice visit and dinner with Becky,Bruce,JoniK and her husband,TC, Charlene,Freida and Homer,Kerri Edward from the old board,Joan ,Linda from Texas, Janet,Janice. Sorry,I don't know their last names. Reggie was there too.
I am really tired so I'll just say ,"Vinny hit another one out of the park". You just gotta love the guy .
I am sure there will be more postings on this tour. He's sure not finished yet.

Glad you had a good time Anna! I was hoping Jenny would sing Thursday or Friday, because I knew she was there, but you got lucky on Saturday, that's great. I'm sorry I had to miss the group dinner but I was lucky to get there for two days this time around because of my schedule. Let's all meet in Vegas as soon as Vince goes back.

Just got home about an hour ago. Just finished unpacking. It was great to see you, Anna, and all the people who came over. Reggie, it was great to meet you. Thanks for directing us to the Buffet. I had a map and still kept getting lost in that place. It's like a maze.
Yes, it was great that Jenny came out to sing during the encore last night. She did a great job on "Whenever You Come Around". Vince was such a crackup. He introduced himself last night as Barry Manilow gone country.

I was there for only the Thursday night show. IT WAS AWESOME. I talked with a Board member named Darlene outside the showroom before the concert. She says she reads the board but doesn't participate much because she's not that computer savvy. We'll help, Darlene! Jump in and let us know you are here.
She was a darling!!! Then, before and after the show, I talked with Becky and Bruce, and then Linda from Texas after the show. Linda ---- you looked great!!!!!! Looked like you knee was better from the last time I saw you! You just looked great!!!!!! It was so good to see ya'll again!!! I wished others would have come my way so I could say "hi". Didn't happen - so all of you who were there on Thursday night - I would have loved to met you.
My Mom and two sisters had a blast! Mom became ill Thursday morning and had laryngitis by the time the show started. She was just so tired from the trip. I guess that will be her last trip to Vegas with us. It's a shame, too, because she was having a blast!! She really enjoyed the show.
Leaving Vegas on Friday knowing that Vince was having another show, was hard to do! OH I wanted to stay! I was so hoping his shows in Vegas would be 3 hours long, but the two hours was absolutely wonderful! That man just gets better and better. His talent amazes me --- just amazes me!!!!!!!!
All I can say guys is ----- catch one of his shows as soon as you can! WOW --- just WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was great seeing Tricia, Anna, Linda, Joni and others again, and also meeting Charlene and Joan. Vince was amazing, as uaual. I have a few short clips of the concert, including him singing with Jenny. They are like 30 second clips. Not sure if I'm allowed to post links to them here, but if anyone wants to see them, just send me a message and I'll send you the link.

It is so nice that so many of you got to meet during the Vegas concerts. You said the show was 2 hours, did Vince talk, tell many jokes?
Becky & Bruce - I enjoyed seeing your Vegas pictures. Bruce you always take so many shots it makes me feel like I saw a little bit of the show. I love the album cover backdrops. Thanks for posting your pictures so quickly. Helps ease the pain of not seeing one of Vince's concerts. I keep hoping he will come near Virginia soon.

Bruce & I got home this morning...early...we're just exhausted..and sick. As soon as I recover some more, I'll write more about the time in Vegas. Was great seeing the band milling around the casino and hotel after the shows each night. Got to meet both Jenny & Bekka Bramlett for the first time after the concert on Saturday night. They were both so sweet...Jenny just 'killed' out there with 'Whenever You Come Around'. She has a distinct style of her own with every song I've heard her sing...Vince was just beaming to have her on stage with him. Got a setlist from Saturday night, so will try to use that to write up a short review of all 3 nights and hit the highlights for everyone...it was great to meet all of you...would love to do the Vegas trip again next time Vince is in town!!!

What a wonderful trip!......Nice meeting everyone....Vince & the guys sounded wonderful all 3 nights....Jenny sounded great too!....
I was bound & determined to get one of the large posters that were being displayed through out the casino advertising Vince's stint there....On the way out Saturday night, I went up to a Security guard & explained my Vince habit & asked him if I could take one of them...He replied, " I'm not going to tell you yes, but I am going to walk away right now & whatever happens happens" LOL So I got one! YAY!.....It was free but will probably cost me big $$$ to have it shipped home...lol
On the flight home I got to hear Vince twice on XM radio....One was a short story that Bob Seger was telling & then Vince sang "Real Mean Bottle"....then later I heard, "The Reason Why" Right in the middle of it the pilot had the audacity (sp) to make a "we are making our final approach speach" & interrupted the song....I nearly came out of the seat & had to be detained! LOL Just kidding.....but it was great to hear Vince on the way home.....I was sad that it ended....
I hope everyone has recovered somewhat & maybe we can start making plans to meet again soon!.....You guys were the best!....

Happy to hear you all had a nice time. It sounds like you were able to see old friends, and meet some new ones, and that makes it so much fun. Ruth, hope you get your poster home okay. That was a pretty nice security guard. Good for you. I'm glad it was such an enjoyable and safe trip for everyone. Becky and Bruce, feel better.

To funny Ruth about the poster! Getting VG Poster stories are funny
Kerri & I noticed as we walked out to the parking lot after the show that all the stands that had previously held VG posters were empty, so I'm guessing you weren't the only one who was lucky to snag one! Enjoy!

Anna thanks for the stickers you got for us! I loved meeting all of you and our seats couldn't have been any better - front row on stage left - about 10 feet from Vince! The airport going home was like a plague of locusts - there were so many people leaving from National Rodeo Finals - we had to get in a very long line to even get into the airport! Then inside the airport there were such long lines at any food place we had to wait till we got home to get a bite to eat so from breakfast till dinner was about 10 hours and we were starved and only one little glass of juice on the plane. I hate all the airlines now and especially Southwest-so rude. Vince's concert was very good but I liked the one here in Seattle on Nov. 16 better and it was an hour longer.

So glad we all could see Vince's concert in Vegas. He really gives us our money's worth, doesn't he ?
Freida, sorry you had to deal with the long lines. It is very tiring. I am just now starting to feel like I am human again.
Sometimes the venue has a set time that the shows have to end. I do not know if that is the case with the Hilton but Vince did say at the Mesa,Az. concert in November that their time was up and they had to go.

Ruth, that is so great that you 'snagged' one of those posters!!! I saw another one still in the casino before we left on Sunday. But we were about to leave and decided not to beg for it another time...LOL!!! Let us know when you get it...I know about those shipping charges...we buy a framed picture years ago in Vegas and had it shipped home...cost a ton just to send it back home!!!
Sorry about the long lines at the airport, Freida...it was busy when we got there too and we got there so early that we had to wait about 2 hours to be able to check our luggage with the airline. The flight home was SO LONG...
I got to listen to Vince both on the flight to and from Vegas...Vince is on Delta radio !!! Channel 8 !!! He's hosting a program about 30 minutes long with several songs from 'These Days' and he talks about each song that is featured. Included in the program is an Emmy Lou song 'Bluebird Wine', I think and also a Vince song that Eric Clapton did..'One Day', I think is the name of it. It's an incredibly good program and covers several songs from 'These Days' that are not on the setlist of the tour right now...just thought you all would like to know about that...pays to look at those magazines while you're on the plane!!!

Hi all you lucky Vegas concert-goers... did you feel me there in spirit? I was there with you, in spirit!! Maybe next time. I hated missing the Vegas experience, especially after the fabulous time we all had during The Next Big Thing tour. Sounds like you all had sooo much fun and I'm so glad.
