I'd love nothing better than to see 2 or 3 songs get released off of each album!!! But who knows??? I think Linda asked what we would all like to see as the next single released, while we were at dinner in Vegas on Saturday night...I think the consensus was a fast song this time, maybe 'Sweet Thing' or 'Cowboy Up'...love both of those songs and now after seeing Vince perform them live, I'll be thinking about his performance each time I hear these songs!!! Just In-cre-dible !!! And funny !!!

Am I the only one who has the same reaction to the Lavitra commercials now? Now that I know where Vince got the idea for "Cowboy Up", every time that commercial comes on now I can't help laughing at it. It was on TV the last two nights and couldn't help chuckling at it.

I like "Cowboy up" but would country radio play a song with that subject and I tried to type in the "L" word and even this website said I was "spam"!!! etc....I think it's all in fun and would be OK but who knows what the "stuffed shirts" would think at radio...
I have no doubt we will see a lot more singles from Vince. It's just a matter of when...and if they want to release multiple singles to jazz stations, country, Americana, adult contemporary etc.
It will be interesting and fun to see how they proceed in the new year with this wealth of music!

Don't know if radio will go for it either, Charlie...but I'm betting if they did play the song, it would get alot of requests!!! I think if radio will play the heck out of Big & Rich songs like 'Save A Horse', then they shouldn't have any problem playing 'Cowboy Up'...what do you all think???

I have a feeling that radio wouldn't give Cowboy Up the time of day, even though the subject matter isn't too far off from "Save a Horse"...I think that since Vince is known for his non-racey love songs, that they just wouldn't go for a song like Cowboy Up from Vince. Now if it was by Big & Rich or Gretchen Wilson, it would be a different story...

I hope "Cowgirl up" is the next release.A lot of the songs out there are much more suggestive Done By by the hot shots out there now.People need to lighten up Sex is a very normal part of life but some of the other artists make it seem dirty and some of the songs by the females are just plain violent ! lol like the Carrie U. song about wrecking her boyfriends car! yuck!! just plain bad behavior no matter what the reason lol So The DJ.S Should not get on any high horse with the stuff they play now.And Fans that play that song and pretend they don't are a big joke! I see nothing wrong with the song,It's funny. And It's fun! hugs mamabear

Well I vote for releasing "Sweet Thing" next. He sang it on Leno. Faint of Heart is my fav from the set!

What you give away would make a great single too! And it gives me chills to hear Vince and Jenny on a river like you.
the rhythm of the pourin rain is wonderful and my 11 yr old goes around singing Workin on a big chill. Face it we'd love anything they release ; the set is totalling mind blowing.
speaking of seeing the live show. I see a PA date in March but the theater says that the date is unconfirmed. I'd love to take my whole gang cause we're all huge VG fans!

I agree, anna856!!! I'll be happy with whatever song they choose to release next...they are all so great that I don't see how they don't all go straight to the top of the charts!!!
Hope you are able to get your 'gang' to the PA show!!!
I don't see a problem with 'Cowboy Up' at all...most people won't even realize what the song is about anyway because alot of people like songs based soley on whether they like the tune, and could care less about the lyrics. Not saying that is a good thing, but I think it's true..

Thanks Becky!

We don't get to go to concerts very often and vince is our fav! So God willing we can swing it in March.

I guess in the end it does not matter what single they choose and it seems DJ's have limited if any ability to play their choices...it's all done by the "upper ups" - so how to get Vince played in medium to heavy rotation seems to be the hardest part - he barely get's out of "light" rotation in most stations and many just don't play his singles at all....
I vote for "Sweet Thing" ....of course it would be interesting if "Cowboy Up" was the single and how they then might make a video of it!

I personally wouldn't see why they wouldn't play it if they played Save A Horse by Big and Rich

and they still play Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up by Garth Brooks.

( No offense intended to any artist )Oh, but they didn't play The Lips Song by the NCB (cause it had the A**

word in it ) Heaven forbid that would go out over the airwaves)or any of Vince's past 3 records . Still scratching my head over that situation.

Exactly, Anna...but yet they play the living daylights out of Toby Keith's American Soldier which has the exact same word in it.
BTW, any ER fans here? I've noticed that this season they've been 'pushing the envelope' with the language used in the show. Now they're not only using the word a**, but a**h**e in the dialoge of the show. I thought that was one word that was on the FCC's 'ensored list of words, along with the 's' word, which I swore I heard during some show not too long ago. When I first heard the word a**h**e on ER, I thought maybe someone accidently slipped up their lines and it wasn't caught by the editors, but then I heard it during another episode of the show, so you know that they're intentionally writing it in.
